Tom has been the Eastern Passage Summer Carnival 10K race director for a quarter century and the event director for the popular “Run for the Moose” 25K race since the early 1990s. He is an original member of Run Nova Scotia joining in 1983, when RNS was founded.

Every year since then Tom has run in numerous races completing 36 marathons with a personal best time of 3:09 in Ottawa. He has been a tremendous supporter of RNS in the purchasing, repairing, and storing of RNS transport vehicles over the years.

Tom is a great motivator, encourager, and supporter of runners at all levels of ability. He has organized soup kitchens and coffee stops at Cabot Trail Relay, supported ultra marathoners in the Rum Runners Relay, and assisted Fast Company with numerous Dartmouth Natal Day races over the years.

About Us

Since 1983, Run Nova Scotia has fostered and promoted road running all across Nova Scotia. From one running boom to the next, our mission has not wavered: to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie to people of all ages and abilities through the sport of road running. For close to 30 years, we’ve supported the unique needs and goals of anyone from Yarmouth to Sydney who has decided to lace up a pair of running shoes and join the thousands of other Nova Scotians running the roads.
