A member of Run Nova Scotia since the mid-1980’s, Bob has been a huge supporter of the Timex Series both through an annual cash donation and as the number one purchaser of tickets drawn for Timex watches at races, proceeds of which support the Timex race series. Interestingly, he donates most of the watches he wins–and he wins many–to the Moose Run in Cow Bay or the Lunenburg 5K where they are used as draw prizes. Quite often he gives them to fellow runners who are in need of a new watch. Bob also supports Run Nova Scotia in another important way. When the RNS vehicle is in need of repair, he has either done the repairs at his shop, M&B Transmission, or has arranged for work to be done at other locations using his extensive contact list. The result has been that Bob has saved Run Nova Scotia thousands of dollars in vehicle repairs over the years.

Bob has run numerous marathons (usually with his partner-in-crime Wayne Rose), and he continues to be competitive as a Golden Master, typically finishing in the top 3.

About Us

Since 1983, Run Nova Scotia has fostered and promoted road running all across Nova Scotia. From one running boom to the next, our mission has not wavered: to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie to people of all ages and abilities through the sport of road running. For close to 30 years, we’ve supported the unique needs and goals of anyone from Yarmouth to Sydney who has decided to lace up a pair of running shoes and join the thousands of other Nova Scotians running the roads.
