Race Information
Event Description:

On Sunday, November 12, 2017, The Arthritis Society presents the fifth annual Virtual Everest, the ultimate test of climbing endurance in Halifax! Participants climb Citadel Hill National Historic Site a total of 80 times, up steep terrain that simulates the elevation from sea level to summit of Mount Everest. Participate as an individual, tackling the 80 laps on your own, or participate as a team (of up to 8 people) and share the challenge! Our efforts support The Arthritis Society’s vital programs, services, advocacy and research. It’s a big challenge, and it’s a whole lot of fun! Since its inception in 2013, Virtual Everest has quickly grown into a fall highlight for many groups, corporations and fitness enthusiasts – quickly becoming one of The Arthritis Society's most publicized events in Canada. The mission of Virtual Everest is to combine a thrilling challenge with a team-building fundraiser that benefits our overall health. Exercise actually “feeds your joints” – helping reduce health issues associated with arthritis and leading to healthier lifestyles
