- There will be both a male and female winner for the distances of 5K, 10K, half marathon and full marathon.
- The winner must be a resident of Nova Scotia to be considered the Provincial Champion.
- The winners will be determined by the first person to the cross the finish line. No net chip timing will be considered, the lowest gun time is the winner.
- The winners (both male and female) will be presented with a plaque to keep.
- There will be a permanent plaque presented at the race which will be given for photo
opportunities but it will be permanently displayed at Athletics Nova Scotia. The plaque will be engraved with all the previous year's winners.
- Winners will receive a complimentary RNS membership for the next year.
- Winners will receive free entry into next year's Championship Race.
